🎓 Scholarships and Funding Opportunities for Studies in Finland

  • Scholarships
  • Anywhere

Studying in Finland offers excellent value for investment, with flexible study paths, affordable student prices, and a stable society providing equal opportunities. However, it’s important to plan a budget to cover all your living costs independently.

Non-EU/EEA students admitted to English-taught bachelor’s or master’s programmes are required to pay tuition fees. While students are allowed to work part-time (up to 30 hours per week) with a student residence permit, earnings from such jobs are generally not enough to cover living costs and tuition fees—especially as part-time work can be hard to find without local language skills.

Finland does not offer fully funded government scholarships for bachelor’s or master’s studies. Instead, many universities provide tuition fee waivers or scholarships for both bachelor’s and master’s level international students. Doctoral-level funding opportunities also exist.
