About the Award
The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is the University of Toronto’s most prestigious award for international students. It recognizes exceptional academic achievement, creativity, leadership potential, and commitment to contributing positively to the global community.

Award Value

• Covers tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years

• Awarded annually to approximately 37 students worldwide

• Tenable only at the University of Toronto for first-entry undergraduate programs

Eligibility
Applicants must:

• Be an international student (non-Canadian requiring a study permit)

• Be in their final year of secondary school in 2025/2026 or have graduated no earlier than June 2025

• Be starting studies at the University of Toronto in September 2026

• Not already be attending post-secondary studies, nor starting post-secondary studies before September 2026

Application Process & Deadlines

1. Nomination by School – Your high school must nominate you (only one student per school per year)

   • Nomination deadline: October 10, 2025

2. Apply for Admission to U of T – Apply to at least one undergraduate program

   • Admission application deadline: October 17, 2025

3. Submit Pearson Scholarship Application – Only after nomination and applying to U of T will you receive the scholarship application link

   • Scholarship application deadline: November 7, 2025
