Giving Joy provides small grants to empower women entrepreneurs worldwide. These grants support innovative, creative ideas with strong potential for economic and social impact on women, girls, families, and communities.

Beginning in 2026, Giving Joy has simplified its process to two global grant cycles per year, ensuring fairer timelines, stronger reviews, and broader reach across all regions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to women ages 18 and up.
• Applicants may:
  • Start or expand a business.
  • Launch or grow a nonprofit, NGO, or charity.
  • Propose a specific activity or project.
• Grants are not limited by geography or field—any legal activity is eligible.
• Applications must:
  • Be submitted online only (no email or paper submissions).
  • Be complete—missing fields will disqualify the application.
  • Demonstrate clear economic and social benefit beyond personal financial gain.
• Applications may be submitted in any language translatable by Google Translate.

Target Audience

This program is designed for:

• Women entrepreneurs starting or scaling businesses.
• Community leaders launching impactful projects.
• Nonprofits and NGOs focused on women, girls, and families.
• Innovators in any field (health, education, agriculture, crafts, etc.) with measurable social impact.

Package Inclusion

• Grant size: Up to USD 500.
• Grant duration: Six months.
• Between 5–10 grants awarded per cycle due to limited funding.
• Awardees receive:
  • A grant agreement outlining deliverables.
  • Six months to implement their project.
  • Support from Giving Joy staff during implementation.

Application Process

1. Apply online during the open cycle (form available only during cycle dates).
2. Ensure all fields are completed and activities are clearly described.
3. Provide detailed plans for how funds will be used, including costs, target audience, and expected impact.
4. Applications are scored on:
   • Alignment with Giving Joy’s mission.
   • Innovation and creativity.
   • Effective use of grant funds.
   • Clear, measurable impact.
