About
The Featured Grants Program by Together Women Rise provides funding to organizations that empower and support women and girls in low-income and marginalized communities in the Global South. Each month, a different organization/project is featured, with extensive learning materials shared across Riseโs nationwide chapters, website, newsletters, and social media.
Grantees are assigned to be featured in a specific month based on issue area and geography, ensuring visibility and engagement with a broad audience.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations must have an annual operating budget of at least USD 100,000.
- For capacity-building grants, organizations must have operating budgets between USD 100,000 and USD 1 million.
- Organizations may receive no more than one Featured Grant per four-year period.
- Fiscal sponsors may be used, but the relationship must be verifiable and at least 12 months old.
- Together Women Rise does not support:
- Debt reduction
- Grants to individuals
- Endowments
- Lobbying or political activities
- Election campaigns
- Government entities
- Building funds or campaigns
- Organizations engaging in exclusionary practices or attempting to convert beneficiaries to a particular religion or political belief are not eligible.
Target Audience
This program is designed for:
- Nonprofits and NGOs working to empower women and girls.
- Organizations advancing education, health, economic empowerment, and rights for marginalized communities.
- Initiatives focused on capacity building, new programs, or expansion of existing programs.
Package Inclusion
- Grant size: USD 35,000 โ 50,000, paid over two years.
- Grant term: 24 months.
- At least 12 Featured Grants awarded per calendar year.
- Extensive visibility through Together Women Riseโs chapters, website, newsletters, and social media.
Application Process
- Confirm eligibility requirements.
- Submit application via the grant portal during the open cycle.
- Provide all supporting documentation by the deadline (no exceptions).
- Applications may include capacity-building proposals across operational aspects (technology, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, staff training).

- Deadline for Applications: June 5, 2026 (5:00 p.m. ET)
- Notification of Approved Grantees: November 2026
- Notification of Non-Approved Applicants: December 2026
