STREAMING, funded by the European Union, has launched an Open Call for Knowledge Transfer to support the development of digital training projects that connect researchers with farmers, processors, start-ups, and public health actors.

With €25,000 per grant available, the programme will fund 11 interactive, practice-oriented courses designed to strengthen sustainable food trade systems across Africa and Europe. A key priority of this call is women’s empowerment, ensuring that women farmers, entrepreneurs, and innovators are central beneficiaries of the training.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants may include:
    • Research institutions and universities
    • NGOs and industry partners
    • Innovation hubs, business schools, and vocational colleges
    • Consortia across Africa and Europe
  • At least 60% of the funding will support African organizations.
  • Special encouragement is given to women-led organizations and female innovators.
  • Applicants may come from any country, not only STREAMING partner nations.

  • Farmers and processors seeking digital training to improve food safety and sustainability.
  • Start-ups and innovators scaling agricultural technologies.
  • Women entrepreneurs in farming, food processing, and agri-business.
  • Vocational institutions and hubs building capacity for sustainable food systems.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • €25,000 grant funding per project.

Application Process

Applicants must prepare and submit:

  • Proposal template (submitted as PDF).
  • Declaration of Honour (DoH) confirming eligibility and compliance.
  • Consortium Agreement (mandatory for consortia).
  • Declaration on double funding (signed at submission and project completion).
