ASGP Overview

Grant Amount: Up to US$10,000 per project.

Purpose: Support community-based organizations (CBOs) and NGOs working at grassroots level, particularly in rural areas. Funding can cover one-off projects and occasionally core costs.
Eligibility
Applicants must demonstrate:

How the project aligns with ASGP criteria and contributes to its focus areas.

Clear targets and deliverables of the project.

Partnership with a local NGO or CBO.
Application Process

Initial Contact:

The applicant (a national CBO or NGO) contacts the ASGP coordinator for guidelines and application forms.

Concept Paper Submission:

Prepare a brief project concept paper and submit it to ASGP.

Coordinator reviews eligibility and alignment with ASGP criteria.

Proposal Preparation:

If eligible, prepare a detailed project proposal.

In some cases, a planning grant may support proposal preparation.

Proposal Review:

Submit the completed proposal to ASGP.

The trustees review and respond by:
a) Accepting the proposal
b) Rejecting the proposal
c) Requesting revisions/refinements

Timeline

Trustees meet twice a year: October and March.
