The African Union (AU) Internship Program offers a full-time professional engagement for students and recent graduates from AU Member States. The program provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an intercultural environment while contributing to the work of the AU on continental development, governance, and policy, including areas related to agriculture, food security, and sustainable development.

Nationals of AU Member States

Enrolled in full-time undergraduate (final year) or postgraduate programs, or recent graduates

Fluent in one of the AU working languages: Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, or Kiswahili

Aged 22–32 years

Duration: Minimum 3 months, extendable up to 6 months depending on performance and host department needs

Location: AU Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Work Commitment: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00

Financial Support: Applicants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and living expenses
