African Union (AU) Internship Program – Call for Applications

The African Union Commission invites applications from nationals of AU Member States for its Internship Program. This is a full-time, professional development opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in continental governance, policy-making, and development programs, including agriculture, rural development, environmental sustainability, and more.

Key Details

  • Eligibility:

    • Nationals of AU Member States

    • Enrolled in final year of Bachelor’s or postgraduate programs, or recent graduates

    • Fluent in one AU working language: Arabic, English, French, or Portuguese

    • Maximum age: 32 years

  • Duration: 3 months, renewable once (total up to 6 months)

  • Departments include:

    • Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy & Sustainable Environment (ARBE)

    • Economic Development, Trade, Industry, Mining (ETIM)

    • Education, Science, Technology & Innovation (ESTI)

    • Health, Humanitarian Affairs & Social Development (HHS)

    • Women, Gender & Youth (WGY)

    • And many more

  • Location: AU Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

  • Financial Support: Interns are responsible for travel, accommodation, and living expenses
