Agriculture Advisor (AA).

• 🌍 Position: Agriculture Advisor (AA) at AgDevCo, based in Nairobi, Cape Town, or Accra.
• 📝 Contract: Full-time, 1-year contract with possibility of extension.
• 💼 Responsibilities:
  • Climate and Agri-business Focus: Support climate risk assessments, greenhouse gas accounting, regenerative agriculture, and animal welfare.
  • Agri-Tech Support: Develop agronomy and business review advice, suitability checks for climate, soils, water, and other field management benchmarks.
  • Consultant Management: Maintain active list of technical ag-consultants and assist with terms of reference and contract preparation.
  • Investment Support: Assist in reviewing technical assessments like due diligence reports, business reviews, and sector/market analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work with senior advisors and ESG team on portfolio processes and project-based support.
• 🎓 Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field.
  • Experience in agricultural business operations and project management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• 🌍 Travel: Willingness to travel 25-30% of the year across sub-Saharan Africa.
