About
The LPYDC empowers youth to design and implement solutions addressing key global challenges through education. It invites project ideas under three major themes:

Community Impact – peace, democracy, and inclusion

Flourishing – well-being and socio-emotional development

Sustainability – planetary health and the circular economy
Supported by the United Nations University Hub (UNU Hub) and UNESCO, the challenge promotes creativity and leadership among young changemakers, encouraging them to contribute to sustainable learning systems and community transformation.
Benefits of Participation

Training: 60 shortlisted projects receive mentorship, masterclasses, and development tools.

Grants: 12 youth ambassadors are awarded $1,000 each to advance their initiatives.

Recognition: All selected participants receive certification from the UNU Hub for the Future of Learning with Youth (UNU FLY) and gain global visibility through Learning Planet’s networks.

Networking: Ambassadors are invited to international events for peer learning and collaboration.

Eligibility

Open to youth aged 15–26 from any country.

Applicants must present a project idea related to education and sustainability.
