What the Challenge Supports
The Challenge seeks impactful innovations operating at the intersection of three critical domains:

Safe and nutritious food for healthy diets.

Sustainable or regenerative practices that keep food systems within planetary boundaries, including food loss and waste reduction.

Equitable access to affordable and trusted food for all communities.
These focus areas aim to create a future where food production enhances human health, restores ecosystems, and ensures resilience against climate change.
Who Can Apply
Applications are welcome from:

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and non-profits

Social enterprises and small/emerging for-profit ventures

Universities, research institutions, and innovators or entrepreneurs
Applicants are encouraged to submit game-changing ideas that address key food system challenges โ from regenerative farming and nutrition security to innovative processing, storage, or food waste solutions.
Award Levels
The Challenge offers three levels of awards, supporting innovations at different stages of development โ from early concepts to scalable solutions ready for large-scale impact. Each level provides tailored funding and technical guidance to accelerate implementation.
