This global movement—powered by United People Global (UPG)—mobilizes young people to take positive action for sustainability in their communities. Selected participants receive free world-class sustainability leadership training, with the best among them earning a fully funded 1-week immersive experience at Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership in Maine, USA.
About the UPG Sustainability Leadership Program
Launched in 2019, the UPG Sustainability Leadership Program is the world’s largest and most comprehensive sustainability leadership training for young adults. It empowers participants to lead impactful community projects addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—from climate action, waste management, and clean energy to sustainable agriculture, education, and gender equality.
So far, over 3,500 leaders from 150+ countries have completed the program, collectively training more than 100,000 citizens in sustainability practices.

Eligibility Criteria

Open to young adults aged 18–35 from any country.

No prior experience required — passion and commitment to positive change are key!

Must commit to:

Implement a sustainability project in your community.

Conduct local mini-training sessions to share your knowledge.

A CHF 5 application fee is required (the program itself is free).

Avoid using AI tools for the application. Grammar perfection is not required.
