The African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) is now accepting applications for the second cohort of its Climate Action (ACA) Fellowship, a capacity-building program that aims to accelerate African women’s leadership in climate action.
About the Fellowship
The ACA Fellowship is designed to:

Address systemic gender inequalities in climate leadership
-
Build the leadership and technical capacity of African women
-
Promote the development and implementation of inclusive, gender-responsive climate solutions
The one-year, non-residential fellowship targets African women from diverse institutions—government agencies, NGOs, academia, civil society, research bodies, and the private sector—who are actively involved in climate change adaptation.
Eligible Countries
Applicants must be nationals of and currently residing in one of the following countries:

Malawi

Senegal
Key Features of the Fellowship

Career Acceleration: One-year intensive training in leadership development, gender integration, and technical skills

Collaborative Projects: Fellows will design and implement mini–Climate Research and Innovation Projects (CRIPs)

Mentorship & Networking: Access to a pan-African network of mentors, peers, and institutions

Blended Learning: Includes virtual sessions and in-person events
