Theme: “Compost! Feed the Soil that Feeds Us”
Deadline: November 14, 2025 (by midnight EST)
Prize: $500 and global recognition

The International Compost Alliance (ICA) invites artists, students, and environmental enthusiasts worldwide to participate in the 2026 International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) Poster Contest. The winning design will become the official ICAW 2026 poster, shared with thousands of people and organizations across the globe to promote sustainable composting practices.

 2026 Theme

“Compost! Feed the Soil that Feeds Us”
The theme connects directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 15 – Life on Land, which focuses on protecting and restoring terrestrial ecosystems.

Healthy soil sustains all life — it grows the food we eat, filters the water we drink, and supports biodiversity. Composting plays a vital role in rebuilding soil health, reducing the need for chemical fertilizers, and promoting sustainable land management.

The 2026 theme calls on everyone to invest in soil health through composting — one of the most efficient and natural ways to support life on Earth.
