Emerging Climate Champions Award – $1 Million Grants for Youth-Led Climate Action.

The Emerging Climate Champions Award is a $25 million global Open Call sponsored by the Enlight Foundation and The Patchwork Collective. It aims to provide flexible, multiyear gifts of $1 million each to youth-led organizations advancing climate solutions around the world.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Youth Leadership: Defined as individuals aged 15–35 holding an executive or board position.

• Organization Age: Must have at least two years of operations by August 15, 2025.

• Geographic Reach: Open to organizations globally, especially those in historically under-resourced or underrepresented communities.

• Focus Areas: Education, movement building, climate justice, science/technology, sustainable agriculture, advocacy, conservation, disaster preparedness, and more.

• Community-Led: Organizations must demonstrate community impact, durability of solutions, and measurable results.

Key Dates:

• Registration Deadline: August 15, 2025 (5:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time)

• Application Deadline: September 22, 2025 (5:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time)

• Participatory Review: November – December 2025

• Panel Evaluation: Early 2026

• Award Announcements: Fall 2026

 Evaluation Process:

• Applicants will review fellow applications in a Participatory Review round.

• Top scorers advance to an Evaluation Panel review.

• Finalists will each receive a $1 million flexible grant for their climate work.

Language & Access:

• Applications must be submitted in English, but translation support is provided for Spanish, French, and Bahasa Indonesia through:

  • Translated materials

  • Language interpretation during webinars

• Language assistance aims to ensure inclusivity in application development.
