The Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) is a transformative initiative by the African Development Bank and the Government of Japan, aimed at building Africa’s human capital in key development sectors including agriculture.

Aligned with the Bank’s High 5 priorities — Feed Africa, Light up and power Africa, Industrialize Africa, Integrate Africa, and Improve the quality of life of the people of Africa — the JADS program offers high-achieving African students the opportunity to pursue two-year master’s degrees at leading Japanese universities.

Agriculture-Focused Scholars Welcome

If you’re passionate about sustainable farming, agribusiness, food systems, or agricultural engineering, this scholarship could be your launchpad. Scholars are expected to return to their home countries and apply their expertise to drive socio-economic development — especially in agriculture and agro-industries.
