The MOFCOM Scholarship, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and administered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), offers fully funded Master’s (2–3 years) and PhD (3 years) programs in English at 26 top Chinese universities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Citizen of a developing country (not China), under 45 years
- In good physical and mental health
- Minimum 3 years of work experience
- Academic background relevant to the chosen program
- Bachelor’s degree for Master’s applicants; Master’s degree for PhD applicants
- Proficiency in English (IELTS ≥6.0 or TOEFL ≥80)
- Public officials (division level or above), senior managers, or academic backbones preferred
- Not currently studying in China or on another Chinese scholarship
Scholarship Benefits:
- Full tuition, materials, research & guidance fees
- Free on-campus accommodation
- Monthly stipend: RMB 3,000 (Master’s) / RMB 3,500 (PhD)
- One-time resettlement fee: RMB 3,000
- International medical insurance
- Round-trip airfare, plus annual home visit flights (up to “n-1” trips)
- Placement at one of 26 designated universities, based on your preferences and program requirements
