The Providence Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship honors the legacy of Providence Ebubechi Napoleon (née Okoye) by investing in the next generation of compassionate, faith-driven, and community-minded leaders.

What’s on Offer?

  • Up to $250 per year, renewable for 4 years (maximum total: $1,000)
  • Funds may be used for tuition, room, or board
  • Designed for students pursuing undergraduate studies in English-speaking African countries

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must identify as Black or African
  • Currently enrolled in, or admitted to, an accredited undergraduate program in an English-speaking African country

Application Requirements

  • One recommendation letter (teacher, professor, community or church leader)
  • Proof of enrollment or admission (upon selection)
  • Most recent academic transcript
  • Personal essay (500–750 words):
    “How do you hope to create a legacy of compassion, faith, and dedication through your education, career, and personal life?”
  • Resume or CV (optional)

Renewal Conditions

  • Maintain good academic standing and positive conduct
  • Submit updated transcript and a progress report annually
