The SENSE Foundation Brussels is inviting applications from non-profit organisations and initiatives in Belgium and abroad that align with its mission to support scientific research and projects promoting sustainable development, environmental protection, and improved nutrition key areas directly tied to agriculture and food systems.
The Foundation’s 2025 call for proposals prioritizes initiatives that:

Promote sustainable and environmentally friendly practices that support agricultural systems.

Enhance nutrition through innovative food or agricultural research.

Address environmental challenges such as land degradation, pollution, or climate change impacts on agriculture.

Empower women and minorities in STEM and sustainability fields, including agricultural research.
Eligible organizations must:

Be legally registered as non-profits with at least 24 months of active operations.

Submit projects that will be implemented in 2025 or 2026.

Ensure their projects clearly demonstrate impact and effective use of funds.
Funding Details

Maximum contribution: €25,000
-
Funding covers up to 25% of the project’s total annual cost (including staff costs).

Up to 10% of the funds can go toward overheads.

Most grants are one-off unless allocated through universities supporting student research.
