They source innovations from WFP staff, entrepreneurs, start-ups, NGOs, and companies, offering them mentorship, funding, hands-on support, and links to WFP’s field operations. The goal? To scale ideas that can truly make a difference.

Applications are accepted through rolling calls—meaning you can submit your project any time of the year. WFP also runs themed innovation challenges with specific topics. If none fit your innovation, you can submit it for general consideration through the rolling process.
Evaluation Criteria
Your innovation will be reviewed based on:

Impact: Ability to reach large numbers and contribute to Zero Hunger

Feasibility: Practicality of implementation and long-term sustainability

Innovation level: Novel ideas or new applications of existing technology

Scalability: Clear pathway to long-term, sustainable use
