The Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP).

The Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) has been promoting the development of social-impact companies and startups using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) since 2011. In its 15th edition, the prize continues to stimulate innovation and social-environmental development through ICT solutions aimed at improving the living conditions of local populations.

OSVP seeks to reward exceptional projects or startups offering innovative solutions to address needs in sectors like health, agriculture, education, energy, industry, and trade across Botswana and Africa at large.

Award Details

• National Prizes: The national prizes offer P50,000, P30,000, and P20,000.
• International Grand Prix: Winners may progress to the international stage, competing for €25,000, €15,000, or €10,000.
• International Women’s Prize: A special prize worth €20,000 for female entrepreneurs or projects benefiting women.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to startups and projects addressing social challenges through ICT solutions.
• The competition invites submissions from entrepreneurs and startups working in fields such as health, agriculture, education, energy, industry, and trade.
• Women-led projects or those benefiting women are eligible for the International Women’s Prize.

How to Apply

• Applicants can submit their projects by May 18, 2025, for the National Phase.
• Projects that progress to the International Grand Prix will have the chance to win additional prizes.
