Overview
The THRIVE Global Impact Challenge is a worldwide search for startups developing breakthrough solutions to the most critical challenges across the agrifood value chain. Finalists compete for up to $1M in investment while pitching on stage at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit in Silicon Valley.
This is more than a pitch competition — it is a platform to accelerate partnerships, capital, and global expansion for startups tackling urgent agricultural and food system challenges.
Agricultural Relevance
Aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, the Challenge focuses on six key themes, with strong relevance for agriculture:
- Regenerative Agriculture – advancing soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable farming practices.
- Artificial Intelligence & Automation – leveraging AI to optimize farming operations and supply chains.
- Animal Health & Nutrition – improving livestock productivity and welfare.
- Climate Resilience – building adaptive solutions for farmers facing climate risks.
- Water & Waste Management – reducing waste and ensuring efficient water use in agriculture.
- Food Security & Nutrition – strengthening food systems to reduce hunger and malnutrition.
Startups working in agritech, foodtech, and climate‑smart agriculture are encouraged to apply, as the Challenge provides global visibility and direct access to investors and corporate partners.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Stage: Seed to Series A startups with scalable solutions.
- Global Reach: Applications are open worldwide.
- Alignment: Clear connection to one or more Challenge themes.
- Impact: Proven climate or environmental benefits such as sustainability, carbon reduction, or resource efficiency.

- Applications Open: February 23, 2026
- Applications Close: May 15, 2026
- Application Review: June 2026
- Virtual Pitch Days: June 24–25, 2026
- Finalist Selection: July–September 2026
- Live Pitch at THRIVE Summit: October 15, 2026
