Accelerate Africa is a 12-week, founder-first program that helps early-stage teams from Africa turn practical solutions into scalable businesses. The program accepts a small cohort of founders and provides intensive, hands-on support across five core areas: storytelling, people & operations, go-to-market, product development, and fundraising. For agri-focused founders, this translates into faster product-market fit with farmers and buyers, stronger operational capacity for field operations, and clearer paths to revenue and investment.
What agri-startups gain
- Targeted go-to-market coaching to reach farmer networks, cooperatives and off-takers.
- Product development support tuned to low-connectivity contexts and feature-phone user experiences.
- Operational clinics for logistics, cold-chain planning, and last-mile distribution.
- Fundraising preparation that helps translate farm-level impact into investor terms (unit economics, ARR, growth levers).
- Storytelling and communications help to position climate-smart, regenerative, and nutrition-focused solutions for partners, donors, and customers.
Program structure and benefits
- Duration: 12 weeks, cohort of 10 founders.
- One-to-one coaching with operators and advisors experienced building African companies.
- Practical clinics and office hours covering legal, finance, product, and GTM.
- Community and network access for partnerships, pilot customers, and technical advisors.
- Equity policy: the program does not take equity on entry; an optional follow-on investment may be available afterwards. Selected founders may be considered for follow-on checks from Future Africa (typical range $250,000–$500,000) following standard due diligence.
Who should apply
Founders building solutions that materially improve agricultural outcomes — for example: precision agronomy, digital extension, farmer-facing finance, post-harvest and cold-chain innovations, input distribution, market linkage platforms, or climate-resilience products. Ideal applicants show customer traction, deep understanding of their users, and a credible plan for scaling beyond pilots.
