The Bayer Foundation Women Entrepreneurs Award 2026 is a six‑month accelerator designed to support women founders who are building proven solutions in health and food security. This year, 15 ventures across Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East will be selected to strengthen their business fundamentals and prepare for investor readiness.
Agric Focus Areas
Women entrepreneurs working in agriculture and food systems have a unique opportunity to scale innovations that directly impact farmers, communities, and markets. The program is especially relevant for ventures tackling:
- Reducing Food Waste: Solutions that minimize losses across production, storage, distribution, and consumption.
- Reducing Malnutrition: Initiatives that improve diets, micronutrient intake, and access to affordable, nutritious food.
- Fair Markets and Pricing: Models that ensure transparency, fair trade, and better income for producers and consumers.
- Smallholder Farmer Productivity: Technologies and services that boost yields, resilience, and income for smallholder farmers.
- Water Justice and Sanitation: Expanding access to clean water and sanitation to strengthen food systems and nutrition outcomes.
These focus areas align with pressing challenges in African agriculture, making the award a strong fit for agripreneurs, NGOs, and women‑led ventures working to improve food systems and farmer livelihoods.
