China Link Scholarship Program – 2025.

The China Link Scholarship Program, offered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), supports short-term academic exchanges to strengthen global collaboration and foster research talent among international students and faculty.

Key Features

• Funding Categories:

  • General Scholar: Current undergraduates or graduates

  • Senior Scholar: PhD candidates or academic staff

• Duration: 1 to 12 months

  • Start studies no later than August 31, 2026

• Working Language: English or Chinese (depending on host university)

• Eligible Fields: All academic disciplines except Chinese language study

Funding Coverage

Successful applicants will receive full funding, including:

• Tuition waiver

• On-campus accommodation

• Comprehensive medical insurance

• Monthly stipend:

  • CNY 3,000 (general scholars)

  • CNY 3,500 (senior scholars)

Eligibility Criteria

• Non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health

• Age limits:

  • Under 45 for general scholars

  • Under 50 for senior scholars

• Must be:

  • A full-time student or academic staff at a CSC partner university

  • Admitted to a Chinese host university for the intended study period

  1. Obtain admission from a Chinese host university

  2. Apply via CSC portal

  5. Host university informs the applicant
