Funding Stages

The DIV Fund offers three stages of support, tailored to the maturity of innovations:

• Stage 1 – Pilot
  • Up to USD $200,000
  • Supports real‑world pilots to test feasibility, user demand, and impact potential.
• Stage 2 – Test & Position for Scale
  • Up to USD $500,000 (exceptionally up to $750,000)
  • Funds rigorous impact evaluations, market validation, and strategic expansions to assess cost‑effectiveness and scale readiness.
• Stage 3 – Scale
  • Up to USD $1.5 million
  • Accelerates scale‑up of validated innovations with strong evidence of impact and sustainability.

Core Criteria

Applications are assessed against three principles:

• Evidence of impact – Innovations must demonstrate or build credible evidence of improving lives.
• Cost‑effectiveness – Deliver greater impact per dollar compared to alternatives.
• Durable scale – Potential to reach over 1 million people with lasting financial sustainability.

Application Process

1. Read the Request for Proposals – Understand funding stages, criteria, and expectations.
2. Submit your application – Applications are accepted on a rolling basis via the online portal.
3. Review stage – Applications are screened for fit, evidence, and scale potential.
4. Due diligence – Detailed review of risks, evidence, and scaling pathways.
5. Decision panel – Expert panels convene several times per year to make funding decisions.
6. Pre‑award stage – Successful applicants finalize milestones, budgets, and agreements.
