The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) has launched its 29th Call for Proposals, inviting transformative projects that empower smallholder farmers, strengthen food systems, and build climate-resilient communities.
Priority Areas
- Regenerative Agriculture and biodiversity protection
- Agroforestry and Soil Restoration
- Local Value Addition with low environmental impact
- Agtech and Digital Tools for inclusive, transparent value chains
- Financial Access for smallholder farmers
- Women Entrepreneurship and gender-lens business solutions
- Trade Finance connecting farmers to global markets
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be an SME, cooperative, social enterprise, NGO, or public/private sector entity.
- Operate in one of the 101 CFC member countries (including Ghana).
- Have at least 3 years of operational history with relevant experience.
- Submit financially viable projects that enhance smallholder livelihoods and drive inclusive local development.
Special encouragement is given to:
- Projects in Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), and Small Island Developing States (SIDCs).
- Initiatives focused on sustainable forest resource use in the Congo Basin region.
