In March 2026, CEO Africa and WOCEN jointly launched the WE‑POWER Fund to provide tailored financial and business development support for women‑led green MSMEs in Ghana. The fund is designed to empower women climate entrepreneurs with access to finance, growth strategies, and a supportive community.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Women Ownership & Leadership: Business registered in Ghana with at least 51% women ownership and a woman CEO/Managing Director.
- Business Track Record: Operating for at least 2 years, with recurring revenue and annual turnover between GHS 350,000 – 3 million. Loan request must not exceed 30–40% of turnover.
- Climate Alignment: Operates in renewable energy, climate‑smart agriculture, circular economy, ecological construction, ecotourism, or resource/energy efficiency.
- Financial Readiness: Loan request between GHS 120,000 – 350,000 for productive or green investments. Must maintain basic financial records and demonstrate repayment ability.
- Commitment to Support & Reporting: Willingness to report financial and impact data monthly, attend quarterly advisory sessions, and participate in peer learning.
Application Process
- Self‑assessment for eligibility
- Initial document review
- Intake meeting with the WE‑POWER team
- Payment of commitment fee (GHS 5,000) for due diligence and investment preparation
- Due diligence and documentation
- Investment Committee review
- Loan disbursement + structured advisory support for up to 2 years
Post‑Investment Advisory Fee: GHS 7,500 (added to loan amount, repaid over loan period).
