The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) is inviting applications for its 29th Call for Proposals, supporting transformative, high‑impact projects that empower smallholder farmers and strengthen community resilience. The CFC invests in initiatives that align commercial success with environmental regeneration and social inclusion.
Mission & Vision
- Mission: Contribute to poverty alleviation by strengthening the income‑generating capacity of commodity producers and reducing vulnerability.
- Vision: Diversify and strengthen the commodity sector in developing countries, transforming it into a driver of poverty alleviation and sustained economic growth.
Who Can Apply
Applications are welcomed from:
- SMEs
- Cooperatives
- Social enterprises
- NGOs
- Public and private sector entities
Applicants must:
- Be based or have active operations in one of the 101 CFC member countries (including Ghana).
- Demonstrate at least 3 years of operational history with relevant experience.
- Submit financially viable projects that enhance smallholder livelihoods and drive inclusive local development.

- Trade Finance: Connecting smallholders with global markets.
- Regenerative Agriculture & biodiversity protection.
- Local Value Addition with low environmental impact.
- Agtech & Digital Tools for inclusive, sustainable, and transparent value chains.
- Financial Access for smallholder farmers.
- Women Entrepreneurship and gender‑lens business solutions.
Special encouragement is given to:
- Projects focused on sustainable forest use in the Congo Basin region.
- Proposals from Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), and Small Island Developing States (SIDCs).
