Agriculture and Food Security Focus

FAO interns contribute directly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and FAO’s Strategic Framework, which emphasizes transforming agri-food systems for:

• Better environment – promoting sustainable farming practices.
• Better life – empowering rural communities and leaving no one behind.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized undergraduate or graduate program in a field relevant to FAO’s mission (e.g., agriculture, food systems, environment).
• Be nationals of FAO Member States (including Ghana).
• Be aged 21–30 at the time of application.
• Have working knowledge of at least one FAO language (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian).
• Demonstrate adaptability to multicultural environments and strong communication skills.
